π¦ Fed Day Note:
The market often reacts sharply around Federal Reserve announcements and meeting minutes, with sudden volatility spikes and unpredictable intraday swings. To stay consistent with my October trading plan, I chose to reduce exposure and close positions early β protecting profits and avoiding any event-driven risk.
In trading, surviving volatility is just as important as profiting from it.
Today was a solid day both in execution and discipline.
Two overnight Double Calendar trades closed green in the morning, and even though the automation triggered another 9/23 DC, I decided to exit before the Fed minutes were released.
The result β three profitable trades, a stress-free close, and another step forward in my 1000 Days Challenge.

π Reflection
- β The overnight trades worked smoothly β patient execution and sticking to plan.
- βοΈ The automation trade also played out well, and the early exit before a major event protected profits.
- π‘ Lesson: βDiscipline isnβt about always trading β itβs about knowing when to step aside.β
In trading, risk avoided is capital preserved. And capital preserved is freedom to trade another day.
