Day 61: A Small Loss — But Staying True to the System

After yesterday’s milestone celebration, today was a reminder that not every day will be green — and that’s okay.

The market opened with some volatility, and I followed the plan by entering 0DTE debit spreads on both the put and call sides. The intent was to stay nimble and capture directional moves with limited risk. Unfortunately, the market didn’t give me the follow-through I was hoping for.

🤔 Reflection

While a $41 loss is a drop in the bucket, it’s a great reminder of the importance of sizing, discipline, and not forcing trades. These 0DTE spreads were well-structured, and my sizing was conservative — so even though the market didn’t move in my favor, the damage was minimal.

“Losses are tuition fees in the school of trading. The key is keeping them affordable.”

🧠 Emotional Discipline

There was a temptation to “make it back” later in the session, but I resisted. That’s growth. In the past, I might’ve revenge-traded or forced a setup. Today, I simply followed the rules, accepted the small red number, and moved on.

One of the biggest wins of this challenge is that I no longer chase trades. I trust the process.
